Vacant & Blighted Properties

Vacant Property Reporting Tool

The Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority’s “Vacant Property Reporting Tool” allows Lancaster County residents to submit properties exhibiting signs of deterioration or abandonment for review by Redevelopment Authority Staff. Individuals interested in submitting a unit should prioritize those properties that are “abandoned entirely” and left to deteriorate by their former owners. Much of our available blight remediation programming is limited to properties considered vacant or abandoned. If you provide an email address with your request, Redevelopment Authority staff will provide periodic updates on the submission, up until its status is marked “complete.” While the Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority cannot act alone to correct conditions of blight or abandonment, we will inform local municipal officials of your submission, along with tools available for correcting these conditions. The municipality is then able to utilize our blight remediation programming, an important first step in improving adverse conditions present at the property. Please reach out to Sean Krumpe at [email protected], or (717) 394-0793 ext. 232 with any questions.
