Director of Housing and Community Development

The Redevelopment Authority is seeking a new Director for the Department of Housing and Community Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of five responsible for the administration funding related to affordable housing creation and preservation, community revitalization & blight remediation.
  • Oversee annual allocations of HOME funding and prepare required loan & settlement documents.
  • Organize community outreach efforts to ensure project support.
  • Provide technical assistance as needed to funding applicants.
  • Acts as project manager for major cross-departmental projects and initiatives related to housing and homelessness, including coordination with construction partners.
  • Master’s degree in planning, architecture, public administration or related, or 4-10 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
