Rallying to address the immediate need for a low-barrier shelter in Lancaster

For forty years the Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition has worked to meet the needs of Lancaster County's most vulnerable residents, those needs have increased sharply with the number of homeless persons reaching a ten-year high based on data from the annual Point-in-Time count. We have a homelessness crisis on our hands and the time for action is now. Our immediate goal is to open a permanent, low-barrier emergency shelter which will provide 80-beds for homelessness adults and operate year-round. This shelter will address one of the most pressing need of our unhoused neighbors, providing a safe, dry place to sleep. By meeting the basic need of a safe place to sleep individuals, with the assistance of case workers, can navigate available resources to eliminate other obstacles in their way to securing permanent housing.

Together we can build a Road to Home. Donate Today.

Moving Forward Together

Who among us wants to be remembered by our darkest moments? We seek to build a space where our unhoused neighbors are respected and feel valued, where they can seek connections with housing and resources in a dignified way, expanding their sense of self-worth and value.

Your support will help us convert an underused space into a vital resource. By supporting this campaign, you’ll enable us to meet a critical need, providing a safe place for those facing hardship. Let’s rally to address this immediate need and foster a community where everyone has access to the help they deserve.

Through our campaign page above you can provide a gift to the Road to Home, or contact our Director of Communications, Development, and Special Projects, Jocelynn Naples, at [email protected] or 717-869-5722 to discuss other ways to give.
