The Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority (Redevelopment Authority) is seeking comments on the updated 2016-2020 Programmatic Agreement which addresses the methods used to comply with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) environmental review requirements to protect historic resources (generally referred to as Section 106 Review Responsibilities).
Acting on behalf of the County of Lancaster, the Redevelopment Authority has determined it can more effectively fulfill its Section 106 review responsibilities for federal programs if a programmatic approach is used among the County, State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), and Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) to institute procedures to streamline and expedite administrative duties.
The Redevelopment Authority encourages the public to review and comment on the draft of the Programmatic Agreement for 2016-2020. The comment period will begin May 27, 2016 and end June 27, 2016. Comments or questions should be address to Aimee Tyson, Program Manager, Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority, 202 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA or at [email protected].
